Cool Food Pro aims to support the public and private catering sector in making sustainable changes to their practices in France and UK, in order to reduce the carbon footprint of their purchases and menus. It follows on from the Cool Food micro-project, which won a prize in the European Commission’s Regiostars Awards 2020.

With the support of professionals in your sector, Cool Food Pro has developed an online CO2 savings calculator to measure the environmental impact of your changes in practices in your organisation. Free and easy to use, the tool calculates every month your positive savings on the environment following your new purchasing practices (more organic, local and seasonal food on your plate), changes in your menus (less animal proteins in favour of vegetable proteins) and the reduction of food waste within the organisation.

As part of the Cool Food Pro journey, you will also have access to a wealth of resources and feedback from your peers. Our online library includes best practice guides, sustainable recipes and ready-made communication materials to celebrate your achievements with your consumers.
